Squash delivers two silver medals
Squash was another important part of India’s day.
Indian players Abhay Singh and Anahat Singh reached the finals of their respective events but were defeated by Malaysian opponents in straight games. The results meant that India collected two silver medals from the squash competition.
Malaysia’s Eain Yow Ng defeated Abhay Singh, while Sivasangari Subramaniam defeated Anahat Singh. Both Malaysian players successfully defended their Asian Games squash titles and, according to Al Jazeera, became the first athletes to secure qualification for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games through the Asian Games qualification pathway.
